West Ham’s talented forward appears set for a move to Old Trafford.
Kieran McKenna
West Ham United are preparing to lose one of their best young talents, as Manchester United make a move on Idris Kanu.
The 16-year-old was brought in on trial last week and capped off his time at the club with a brace for the club’s under-18s as they defeated Middlesbrough 5-1 on Saturday at Carrington.
New United under-18s coach Kieran McKenna, who arrived at the club from Tottenham Hotspur recently, was impressed – as is academy chief Nicky Butt – and Manchester United are now looking likely to lure the player from West Ham – as reported by the Daily Mail.

West Ham will certainly be disappointed to lose one of their star talents.
The teenager has mostly played for West Ham’s under-18s but has also featured for the development team in the past 12 months.
He scored two goals in 17 appearances last season but his raw talent has clearly attracted Manchester United.
West Ham have plenty of top young talent being courted by other clubs, with Reece Oxford also being linked with some of the Premier League’s big boys in recent times.
In the case of Kanu, it appears West Ham have already missed out.
