Sunderland are said to be looking at potentially signing Everton’s Phil Jagielka.
According to a report in the Northern Echo, Sunderland have no intention of selling Jordan Pickford in January.
Sunderland goalkeeper Pickford has made a hugely impressive start to life since breaking into the Wearsiders’ first-team at the start of the season.
The England youth international has arguably been the Black Cats’ best player so far this campaign, with his displays in goal catching the eye.

Pickford has already been linked with some of the Premier League’s title-challenging clubs, but Sunderland reportedly have no intention to cash-in on the youngster.
Sunderland want to keep hold of Pickford, who they feel has a lot to offer at the Stadium of Light in the coming years.
One player who could leave Sunderland in January is Lamine Kone, with West Ham United reportedly confident of landing the centre-back.

If Kone does leave Sunderland next month, the Northern Echo suggest that Everton defender Phil Jagielka could be a target for David Moyes’ side.
