Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez is demanding a salary increase of £35,000 per week to take his weekly earnings to £175,000, if he is to sign a new contract at Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror.
In the modern game, the Chilean’s demands must surely be viewed as entirely reasonable, considering his stature amongst the Gunners team as one of the most important players.
Sanchez, 27, scored the equaliser for the Londoners against Paris Saint-Germain last night, that enabled his side to leave Paris with a 1-1 draw, and with an invaluable point in the bag.

The former Barcelona man moved to the Emirates in the summer of 2014 and has gone on to score 44 goals in 98 appearances, which is a rather impressive tally considering that he starts most of the games on the wing.
The Mirror go on to report how keen Arsenal are to get a new deal for Sanchez tied up, with the player’s contract expiring in 2018.

The Chilean international has taken part in every game this season for his club, and has proved to be one of the Gunners’ most influential players.
It will be vital for Arsene Wenger to tie down Sanchez to a new deal, to prove to the rest of European football that Arsenal are a club not only capable of signing world-class stars, but holding on to them as well.
