Glasgow Rangers loanee Ovie Ejaria is reportedly unhappy at Ibrox and could need to be persuaded to stay with the Gers.

Ovie Ejaria of Rangers controls the ball during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Motherwell at Ibrox Stadium on November 11, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

In an almost scarcely-believable turn of events, the Daily Record have suggested that Ovie Ejaria could need to be persuaded to stay at Rangers as he is unhappy about the physicality of Scottish football.

Ejaria has been a regular fixture in Steven Gerrard’s side since joining the Gers on loan in the summer. He has already made 28 appearances for the Light Blues, including 11 in the Europa League.

But perhaps the 1-1 draw against Dundee at the weekend could prove to be his final appearance for the Gers. The Daily Record has suggested that Ejaria is ready to bring an end to his loan spell having left training early on Tuesday.

The Record adds that Gerrard is not giving up on the Liverpool youngster and is ready to try and persuade him to stay at Ibrox for the rest of the campaign.

If the reports are correct, then Ejaria will have plenty to prove should he end up staying at Rangers. The Ibrox faithful are bound to be unhappy with a player leaving, or even contemplating going, for that reason.

And if he is unhappy about the physicality within the Scottish game, he can surely expect there to be some opponents who decide to be a little more robust in future challenges to try and gain an upper hand if he does end up staying with Rangers.

It will certainly be interesting to monitor the situation over the coming days to see if there is any truth in the reports that Ejaria wishes to leave the club.
