Alan Pardew’s West Bromwich Albion have been linked with Aleksandar Mitrovic of Newcastle United in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Newcastle will sell the Serbia international striker in order to provide funds for manager Rafael Benitez to sign players this month.
The report has also claimed that West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew wants the 23-year-old, and it has been suggested that the Magpies want £15 million as transfer fee.
Mitrovic is struggling for playing time at Newcastle at the moment, and one can understand why the Magpies are (reportedly) open to selling the striker.
It would also make sense for the former Anderlecht star to leave the Magpies, as there is no point in him wasting more time on the substitutes’ bench.
The striker joined Newcastle from Anderlecht in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13m when Steve McClaren was in charge of the Magpies.
It seems that the Magpies are trying to make a £2m profit on Mitrovic by (reportedly) asking for £15m to sell him.
