Marcus Antonsson could reunite with Pep Clotet at Leeds United.

According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Leeds United are nearing a £1.3m deal for Kalmar striker Marcus Antonsson.
Antonsson, 25, has hit ten goals in 12 games this season to become one of the most dangerous players in Swedish football, and his exploits appear to have earned him a big move to Elland Road.
The Swede will allegedly undergo a medical with Leeds on Monday, and his potential deal would see him reunite with new assistant manager Pep Clotet.
Clotet was recently appointed as new manager Garry Monk’s right hand man, having worked together at previous club Swansea City as well.
The Spaniard hasn’t always been an assistant though, as he also worked as Halmstad manager during part of the 2011 Allsvenskan season, before being sacked in July 2011.
One of the players in his Halmstad team was striker Antonsson, where he was coming up through the ranks and trying to make a name for himself as a youngster.
Despite being just 19 and 20 during his time under Clotet, Antonsson may well have made an impression on the Leeds assistant, and with the Whites needing a new striker following Mirco Antenucci’s departure, he may well have recommended the Swede to Monk.
With other English clubs interested, the prospect of reuniting with Clotet could be appealing to Antonsson, and may well have swung the deal in Leeds’ favour – and with such a great record in Sweden, Leeds fans will be hoping he can live up to the hype.
