Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley isn’t going to leave the club any time soon according to one report.
The Chronicle has suggested the main reason that Mike Ashley is not about to give up his position as Newcastle United’s owner.
Newcastle have just released the highlights of their financial figures for the latest period and the paper points out that Ashley has not taken back any of the £129 million that he has loaned to the Magpies so far.
That suggests that Ashley is not looking to withdraw his investments from the club quickly and remains committed to the side for their long term future.
Some Newcastle fans may not consider that a positive piece of news considering the lack of progress which has been made by the club since Ashley took control of Newcastle United as a business.
There will be doubt over whether Ashley will commission big investments in players over the course of the summer and over whether the Magpies can hang onto their key men beyond this season.
There is also doubt over the position of current manager John Carver, with it still unclear over whether he will be the manager next season or whether another man will come in.
