Reports in Italy are suggesting Roma boss Luciano Spalletti as a potential target for both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

La Roma 24 is reporting that both North London sides are monitoring the future of the Giallorossi boss, who is currently discussing a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico.

Arsenal’s interest in the Italian tactician makes sense. The club are looking increasingly likely to be in need of a new manager this summer with Arsene Wenger’s position at The Emirates becoming rapidly untenable.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping they don’t need to search for a new manager. They are very happy with the way their team are playing under Mauricio Pochettino. However, Barcelona are on the hunt for a new boss and the Argentine has strong links to the city from his playing and coaching days with Espanyol. If he goes, Spalletti may be an option.

The 58-year-old made his name in management with Udinese before his first spell in charge at Roma. He also had success in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg before returning to the Italian capital in the winter of 2016.
