According to the Independent, Liverpool were casting a ‘keen eye’ over FC Porto forward Luis Diaz last night, who is believed to be in Everton’s sights.
What’s the story?
Well, on their visit to the Estadio Dragão Stadium, the Reds were in a ruthless mood as they put five goals past FC Porto once again.
Liverpool’s dominance perhaps affected the work of Liverpool’s scouting team, who were said to be watching Diaz during last night’s 5-1 win.
Jürgen Klopp’s side being in so much control meant Diaz couldn’t really get on the ball as much as he would’ve liked.
The 24-year-old still did okay despite having just 46 touches. Diaz recorded two shots, two successful dribbles and one key pass (WhoScored).
Additionally, the Colombia international showed his industrious side with three successful tackles to his name, as well as one interception.
Liverpool face Luis Diaz battle with Everton

During the summer, it looked as if Diaz was heading for Everton.
Correio da Manha believe the Toffees submitted a £25m bid, and The Athletic even claimed that the South American was keen on a move to Goodison Park.
Sadly for Rafa Benitez, the deal never materialised.
Now, it looks like Everton have allowed bigger clubs to get involved.

Aside from Liverpool’s interest, Barcelona are also said to be eyeing Diaz, so a move to Everton now seems quite unlikely in our view (MARCA).
The FC Porto No.7 has already scored five goals in nine games this season, so you can see why clubs are having their heads turned.
