Leeds United could reportedly begin negotiations with Felipe Caicedo’s current side in the coming days.

According to a report from Imperio, Leeds are very interested in signing Felipe Caicedo this summer, and negotiations with Lazio could start in the coming days.
The Whites appear to be stepping up their summer plans as the new Championship season looms on the horizon. So far, no new signings have arrived, but it would not be a surprise to see that change in the very near future. And based on this latest report, Caicedo appears to be a name on the club’s radar.
Imperio reports that the 30-year-old is a player that Leeds are ‘very interested’ in, and talks could begin in the next few days – with Real Betis also keen on the former Manchester City man.
Could Leeds sign Caicedo?
There appears to have been little talk of Bielsa wanting to add a striker to his ranks this summer, so it would be somewhat surprising if Caicedo did find himself on the Whites’ shopping list during this window.

He is a player who has played in the top flight in England, Portugal, Spain and Italy, and his record suggests that he could definitely do a good job in the Championship if he did get the chance to make the switch to Elland Road.
But with Kemar Roofe going into next year off the back of a very good season, and Bielsa showing a lot of faith in Patrick Bamford during his first year, it would be a shock if the Leeds boss went back to his old club and signed Caicedo.
