According to Torino Granata, Leeds could be affected if Aïssa Mandi leaves Real Betis this summer, with Liverpool and West Ham also involved.

What’s the situation?

Well, Mandi is believed to be a target for both Liverpool and West Ham this summer.

Estadio Deportivo said Jürgen Klopp’s side are keen on the 59-cap Algeria international.

Elsewhere, it was Eldesmarque who revealed West Ham also want him.

If Mandi does leave, Torino Granata claim that Real Betis will target Torino’s Nicolas N’Koulou as his replacement – this is where Leeds come into it.

Torino Granata add that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are keen on signing the 72-cap Cameroon international, so they will face some competition for the 30-year-old if Mandi leaves.

Interestingly, N’Koulou worked under Bielsa at Marseille, so the Argentine knows all about him.

It seems as if the three Premier League clubs could all have an effect on each other’s transfer business this summer.

If Leeds truly do want N’Koulou at Elland Road, it feels like they’d be best served going for him as soon as possible, before Real Betis deal with the Mandi interest from Liverpool and West Ham.

Leeds do need at least one new centre-back, in our view, as the likes of Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips have had to fill in there at times this season due to injuries.
