The Portuguese under-21 talent is seemingly on Everton’s radar.
Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Semedo in action against Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
It was reported earlier this week that Everton are expressing an interest in the signature of Ruben Semedo. Italian source CalcioMercato reported the apparent interest in the player.
Now it has been reported in Portugal that Everton actually watched him in action this week. A Bola is reporting that Everton had a representative present at the game between Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League to scout the player.

The report also claimed that Everton would struggle to be impressed with the performance of the player in question.
Semedo struggled against Dortmund’s striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and did not put in his best performance.
The versatile 22-year-old talent is still a big prospect for the future however and it is unlikely one poor performance will deter Everton’s scouting mission.

He can play both at centre-back and in holding midfield – whilst is also capable of playing at right-back.
Everton need to start considering freshening up their defence – with Phil Jagielka, Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines all in their 30s.
Semedo, who A Bola state has a current release clause of €45 million (£40.3 million), could be such an option.
