Swansea City have no intention of selling the Iceland international.
Everton are reportedly set to make a move for Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. WalesOnline reported earlier today that Everton boss Ronald Koeman was hoping to finally get his man – after failing in an approach this summer gone.
Everton could reportedly offer up to £25 million for the player, but it appears that the Toffees chances of bringing him in would be slim.
Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson
Now it is reported by the South Wales Evening Post that Swansea City have issued a hands-off warning on their marquee player.
The report claims that Swansea have no interest in selling the player, as he is key to their hopes of fending off relegation from the Premier League this season.
Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson
Sigurdsson has again been the key player in a poor Swansea team this season and his absence would be seen as the side rolling over and accepting their fate.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman however is hopeful of making several changes to the team in January, as he attempts to put his own stamp on the first-team at Goodison Park.
But it seems Sigurdsson is a player who might be available in six months time.
