In that respect, you could argue that Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman and the rest of those upstairs at Crystal Palace are convinced by Gallagher.
There could be a stumbling block, however. The Daily Mail add that Thomas Tuchel wants to take a good look at Gallagher before making a decision.
Nevertheless, you can understand why there’s such a strong desire to bring the 21-year-old to Selhurst Park.

On a day where the Baggies were hammered, it was Gallagher who scored West Brom’s only goal with a calm finish to equalise.
It was just one of two Premier League goals scored by the attacking midfielder last season.
However, you can forgive his poor tally, as West Brom largely struggled.
They scored just 35 goals in 38 games – the fourth-fewest in the division.
In our view, Gallagher is exactly what Crystal Palace need to freshen up their side.
The south Londoners have one of the oldest squads in the Premier League, and specifically lack youthful exuberance in midfield.
With or without a manager, the Eagles should try to wrap this deal up quickly, before anyone else tries to sign Gallagher.
