Could Andy Carroll leave West Ham United for China in the January transfer window?
Two Chinese clubs are interested in signing Andy Carroll from West Ham United in the January transfer window, according to The Express.
It has reported that Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou R&F want to secure the services of Carroll.
One of the aforementioned clubs are willing to pay £20 million for the England international striker, according to the report.
“They paid Liverpool £15million for Carroll and one of the two Chinese clubs who are fighting for his services for willing to give them a £5 million profit,” states the report in The Express.
As reported by The Express, Carroll has scored 23 times in 92 appearances for West Ham.
The 27-year-old is injured at the moment, but when fit, the striker is a very good player who can score important goals.
It would make sense for the former Newcastle United and Liverpool man to leave the Hammers and move to China to earn a lot of money.
However, the Hammers should do their best to keep hold of Carroll until the end of the season at least.
The London club cannot afford to let a striker leave in January, as that is an area in which they are a bit short at the moment.
West Ham are currently 17th in the Premier League table with 11 points from as many matches, just a point above the relegation zone.
