Celtic could reportedly sign Luca Connell from Bolton Wanderers for just £240,000 this summer.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Celtic are the team leading the race to sign Luca Connell from Bolton, with the academy starlet available for just £240,000.
Connell’s future has a major question mark hanging over it this summer, with the Daily Mail reporting that the former Trotters owners extended his academy deal instead of handing the 18-year-old a professional contract.
That has left the League One side in a vulnerable position. The Daily Mail suggests that Connell could cost just £240,000 should he decide to move away from England, and Celtic are now leading the battle for his signature.
Amazing coup for Celtic
Connell appears to be a seriously exciting talent, so it would be a fantastic piece of business for the Hoops to get him through the Parkhead door should they manage to capitalise on their current position in the race.

His versatility suggests that he could play an important role for Neil Lennon’s side from the moment he arrives. And it would be no surprise if some Hoops fans were wondering if the potential move could see Connell follow in Moussa Dembele’s footsteps.
Dembele arrived in a bargain move after his Fulham contract came to an end, and he went on to really make his name in the Scottish Premiership before leaving for Lyon and earning Celtic a huge profit.
It would be a tough task for Connell to replicate Dembele’s success. But perhaps the striker’s time at Parkhead may influence the Bolton starlet’s decision as he plots his next move.
