The French youngster will be joining City in July, and could then find himself at Celtic.

Manchester City completed an excellent deal in mid-January, albeit one for the future, by snapping up Claudio Gomes from Paris Saint-Germain. The 17-year-old decided his first professional contract would be with City and not PSG, despite his upbringing at the French capital club.
Now a report in Le Parisien has explained how Celtic may feature in his future as a result.
Jason Denayer in action for Celtic
The report highlights City’s apparent plans for Gomes. The teenager will not join up with his new team until July when he will go into the development team for the first half of the 2018-19 season. After that a number of options will be considered.
Gomes will either be promoted to the senior team for training but not matchdays, remain with the under-23s or be loaned out to one of three clubs – NAC Breda, Girona or Celtic.
Celtic have benefitted from a good relationship with Manchester City in the past. The likes of Patrick Roberts, Jason Denayer and Olivier Ntcham have all come to Celtic via City and the club’s have a strong understanding of each others needs.
Patrick Roberts of Celtic celebrates
If City feel that Gomes needs a quick education into British football then a loan deal to Celtic could be on the cards, but not for another 11 months yet.
Gomes is just one of many big talents at City and Celtic will surely hope that their positive relationship with the club continues into the future.
Gomes or not, expect to see another exciting talent arriving at Parkhead from City next season.
