Celtic could face an anxious wait over Patrick Roberts’ proposed transfer from Manchester City, according to the Mail.
The Bhoys are keen to re-sign the 20-year-old, who enjoyed a productive 18 months on loan at Parkhead.
The Mirror reported on Sunday that talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage, however, if their colleagues at the Mail are to be believed, Celtic fans should not expect a deal to go through any time soon.

Roberts is said to want to weigh up his options over the coming weeks before “jumping” at a move to Celtic, with manager Pep Guardiola reportedly keen to run the rule over the former Fulham player.
And it is claimed a decision on Roberts’ future will then be made by both the player and Manchester City.

Celtic are also alleged to have bid for Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes, whose signing would soften the blow of any failure to bring Roberts back to Glasgow.
Hayes, who scored against Brendan Rodgers’ side during the Dons’ Scottish Cup final defeat last month, is also said to be wanted by English Championship side Cardiff City.

The 29-year-old found the net 11 times in total and created 24 assists in 44 outings this past campaign.
