According to The Telegraph, Besiktas are leading the race for winger Jordon Ibe amid links with a move to Celtic.

It’s claimed that Ibe is considering a move abroad, having been released by Bournemouth when his contract expired on June 30th.

Ibe allegedly wants a fresh start away from English football, and a move to Turkey with Besiktas currently looks like the most likely choice.

There is also interest from teams in Portugal though, with Ibe seemingly attracting plenty of interest as a free agent following his Bournemouth exit.

The 24-year-old was a big signing for the Cherries in 2016, as they paid £15million to sign him from Liverpool in the hope that he could fulfil his potential.

Sadly, the winger only managed five goals and nine assists in 92 appearances for Bournemouth, and is now free to move on.

The Sunday Mirror (28/06, p74) reported that Celtic want to sign Ibe on a free transfer, with Neil Lennon keen to add a new winger to his ranks this summer.

However, Besiktas look to be ahead of Celtic in the race for Ibe as things stand, and Lennon may have to find other targets unless Celtic can come up with an offer to the free agent.
