Burnley are interested in signing Jake Bidwell from Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

According to the report, Burnley manager Sean Dyche wants to sign a new left-back, and that Bidwell is among his options.

The 24-year-old has been on the books of QPR since the summer of 2016 and has a contract with the London outfit until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The former England Under-19 international is a good left-back, and he would be a good signing for Premier League outfit Burnley.

The Clarets’s (reported) interest in Bidwell could come as a blow for Nottingham Forest, who have also been linked with a move for the defender.

According to The Times, Championship club Forest are interested in signing Bidwell from London club QPR in the summer transfer window.

Given that Burnley are in the Premier League, the Clarets would be a more tempting option for Bidwell than Forest.
