The Rangers striker has been in fine form at Ibrox this season.

Rangers are currently facing something of a fight to keep hold of star striker Alfredo Morelos. Chinese side Beijing Renhe have recently been chasing his signature with reported bids of £9 million and £11 million being touted – as reported by the Scottish Sun.

Rangers have made it clear they have no intention of selling the Colombian talent, who they signed from HJK Helsinki in the summer.

But whilst most clubs would move on, it appears that Beijing are going to continue pestering the Ibrox club until the Chinese transfer window closes in five days.

It is being reported by the Scottish Sun today that Beijing are simply refusing to take no for an answer from Rangers regarding their goal-getting attacker.

Considering the financial clout the club have, if this is their attitude, Rangers may find themselves in a bind soon – when an offer comes in that will be simply too good to refuse.

Morelos himself spoke about his future this week to the Daily Record, hinting he was happy to remain at Rangers due to its proximity to the English Premier League, where he dreams of one day playing:

“I play in a country very close to the English Premier League and many teams are watching me.

“So I am very happy with what I am doing right now.”

So even if Beijing do come in with a silly offer that Rangers cannot refuse it appears the 16-goal striker has his eye on an eventual move much closer to home.

Fans will hope that offer never comes, and the temptation to leave Glasgow never has to cross their star striker’s mind.
