Arsenal’s Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez is demanding a release clause is inserted into any potential new contract with the club, according to the Daily Mirror.

It was reported yesterday that Sanchez is demanding a new weekly wage of £175,000 in order for him to stay at the Emirates (the Mirror), but new details of the potential deal have been reported by the Mirror today.

The 27-year-old Chile international scored Arsenal’s key equaliser in their Champions League draw at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, and he seems to be finding his stride after a slow start to the season.

He moved to the Emirates in July 2014, and has gone on to score 44 goals in 98 appearances for the Gunners – an impressive return considering he has started the majority of games on the wing.

The Mirror also go on to report that Sanchez has been told that he will be used more regularly in a central striking role by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, whilst being warned that he must learn to accept the Gunners’ rotation policy.

Arsenal resume their Premier League duties with a trip to Hull City on Saturday, and will need Sanchez to be at his best if they are to take all three points.
