Joel Ngoya will leave Lille when his contract expires on July 1 and, according to France Football, Arsenal and Everton are potential destinations for the talented midfielder.

Les Dogues are no strangers to losing their star players on an almost annual basis.

But at least they will be able to command sizeable sums for the likes of Jonathan Ikone, Gabriel Magalhaes and Victor Osimhen, all of whom will cost a minimum of £30 million even in today’s uncertain market.

Ngoya, one of the most promising youngsters in French football, is set to leave for absolutely nothing – a real slap in the face of a club who have spent time and effort honing his considerable talents.

Though Lille only have themselves to blame.

France Football claim that Ngoya and his representatives were far from impressed by the lack of contract offers put on the table by Lille and, as a result, he will reject any packages that are presented to him between now and the end of the month.

Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United are all circling, smelling a tasty bargain from the other side of the Channel.

The report does suggest, however, that Arsenal could bow out of the race, concerned as they are of threatening the excellent relationship they have fostered with Lille during the transfers of Nicolas Pepe and Gervinho.

Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the Gunners have another Lille star in their sights.

According to the agent of 18-goal striker Osimhen, Arsenal have made contact ahead of a potential move to north London (AllNigeriaSoccer).
