Leverkusen could replace the West Ham United bound Hernandez with an Arsenal outcast.

A report in The Irish Sun suggests an alleged West Ham United target, who is currently on Arsenal’s books, could replace Javier Hernandez at Bayer Leverkusen.

West Ham are expected to complete Hernandez’s signing shortly, with the Mexican striker photographed at Heathrow Airport ahead of a proposed medical on Monday.

The deal for the former Manchester United player is set to land Leverkusen £16 million, according to The Daily Mail, and it would appear that some of that money could be heading back to London.

The Irish Sun reports that the Bundesliga side, along with Marseille of Ligue 1, are eyeing up a move for Arsenal outcast Lucas Perez, who was linked with a move to West Ham by The Mirror earlier this year.

Perez only played 21 times during his first season at The Emirates, but still managed to score an impressive seven goals.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard, who recently had his number nine shirt pinched by new Arsenal signing Alexandre Lacazette, is said to be desperate to move clubs and it is claimed that he could be prised away for as little as £11 million.

£11 million for Perez or £16 million for Hernandez – which is the better deal?
