Reports in Italy suggest that Spurs’ asking price for the Argentine is far from AC Milan’s valuation.
Tottenham’s Erik Lamela reacts
Reports in Italy have highlighted the transfer interest in Tottenham Hotspur attacker Erik Lamela from Serie A side AC Milan.
The Argentine has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri in recent weeks, as the club look set for a big boost in financial clout from Chinese investors.
It had been reported that Milan were interested in his Spurs team-mate Harry Kane – but the England international is not for sale.
It is being reported by Calcio Mercato that Milan wanted to potentially bring in Lamela but Spurs would not be willing to sell him for less than €35 million (£28.6 million) for the player.

The report from Italy will not be met with much more than scepticism from Spurs fans.
That price would be a loss on the price they paid to bring him in from AS Roma in 2013 as the hopeful replacement for Gareth Bale. After struggling at first he has become an integral part of the Tottenham team under Mauricio Pochettino and the idea that Spurs would sell him at such a low price seems very unlikely.
Milan may be interested, but Spurs will be demanding much more of a price-tag for the player.
