Newcastle United reportedly want Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Newcastle are reluctant to pay more than £18m for Townsend, who spent just six months at St. James’ Park following his move from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2016.

The report has also claimed that although Palace valued the England international winger at £30 million at the start of the summer transfer window, Newcastle may be able to settle on a fee of £22m.

Good singing for Newcastle United?
Townsend is a good winger, and his pace and energy would be a massive boost for Newcastle next season.
Given the 26-year-old’s experience and playing style, he would add a different dimension to Rafael Benitez’s side.

Newcastle will be aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League during the 2018-19 campaign.
Townsend scored two goals and provided seven assists in 35 Premier League starts for Palace last season.
