Alexis Sanchez is proving to be indispensable to Arsenal.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez in action
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning on allowing key man Alexis Sanchez a winter break, in a bid to help the Chilean superstar avoid burn-out, according to the Daily Mail.
The 27-year-old has been an integral part of the Gunners fine run since their opening day loss to Liverpool, after being deployed in the central striker role.
His never say die attitude when playing for both club and country, however, has led to fears of him burning out by Christmas, and this is obviously something that Wenger is keen to avoid.
The Daily Mail claim that there are two potential periods where Wenger may decide to allow his star man time off to recharge.
The first option is following tomorrow night’s crucial game against Paris Saint-Germain up until December 3rd when the Gunners take on West Ham United.

The alternative option is from the start of the new year up until January 14th, where Sanchez would miss a home game against Crystal Palace, a trip to Bournemouth and Arsenal’s FA Cup third round tie.
The dilemma for Wenger is that his Gunners side are already three points behind leaders Chelsea, and with his team playing catch-up, it will be an incredibly brave decision for him to leave out his best player for an extended period, but one that is necessary, nevertheless.
