Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are now reportedly facing competition from Juventus for Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei.

Aston Villa were linked with Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei earlier this month, and now Juventus are claimed to be really keen on the 20-year-old.

Earlier in June, Calciomercato reported that Villa are interested in signing Casadei on loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Brighton and Hove Albion were also linked with a move for the Italy Under-21 international in the report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are now reporting that Juventus have “strong interest” in the 20-year-old.

The Italian giants have already asked Chelsea about Casadei and want to sign him on a loan deal with a view to a permanent deal, according to the report in the Italian publication.

Aston Villa or Juventus for Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei?

In our opinion, Aston Villa have a better chance of signing Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei than Juventus.

Now, we do not think that Chelsea will sell the midfielder they signed from Inter Milan only in the summer of 2022 for £12.6 million (Sky Sports).

If the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners decide to send Casadei out on loan, then surely a move to Villa would make more sense.

Serie A is very different to the Premier League.

If Chelsea want the young Italian to succeed for them in the long run, then sending him out on loan to Villa and allowing him to get used to the rigours and intensity of the Premier League would make more sense than letting him go back to Italy and play for Juventus.
