Reported Newcastle United target Edinson Cavani will not take a pay-cut to move, according to Le 10 Sport.
Newcastle are believed to be competing with Inter Milan for Cavani’s signature, and it is the Italian club who have made the first move.
Inter are struggling to finance a deal for the Uruguayan though, as he apparently is refusing to take a pay cut.
Cavani apparently wants £171,000-a-week to move, which could really test Newcastle’s new owners.

It has been reported by Foot Mercato that Newcastle want to land Cavani, but there must be question marks over whether the Magpies will finance a deal on those wages.
Cavani has been one of the best strikers in Europe, but he is now 33 and would have little re-sale value.
The experienced forward could improve the quality of Newcastle’s squad though, as Steve Bruce’s side have badly struggled to find a goalscorer this season.
