Stoke City reportedly want to sign Kevin Wimmer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

According to the report, Stoke manager Mark Hughes wants to sign Spurs defender Wimmer as well as his teammate Vincent Janssen.

Hughes has already revealed his interest in Wimmer, recently telling The Stoke Sentinel that he has made an inquiry about the 24-year-old centre-back.
The Sun has also credited Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion with interest in the Austria international.

Wimmer is a good and talented defender, and at the age of 24, the Austrian still has plenty of time to improve and develop his game.
The Spurs defender has not played well for the past two seasons for the North London outfit, but the centre-back did well during his time at FC Koln before moving to Tottenham in the summer of 2015.
The signing of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in the summer transfer window means that Wimmer will fall further behind in the pecking order at Tottenham.
