Stoke City bid for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino in the summer.
According to Sky Sports’ live transfer feed (10th January 2017, 09:44), Stoke City have reignited their interest in West Brom striker Saido Berahino and have made a new bid for the 23-year-old.
Sky Sports reports that the Potters made a bid of around £20 million in the summer, but had that offer rejected by the Baggies.

However, it appears that Mark Hughes’ men have not been deterred in their quest to land the former England under-21 star, as Sky Sports is now claiming that they have now returned with a new bid, though it is not known how much Stoke have offered.

It would hardly be a surprise if the offer was significantly lower than what Stoke put on the table in the summer. Berahino has not scored in any of his five first-team appearances this term and is out of contract at the end of the campaign (via Mirror), so any club looking to sign him is perhaps taking a gamble on him regardless of his obvious potential unless they wait until he is unattached.
But with Berahino scoring twice in West Brom’s under-23 side’s draw with their Aston Villa counterparts on Monday night, it appears that the quality is very much still there, and perhaps a change of scene may be ideal for everyone.
