New Stoke City boss Paul Lambert is believed to have his eyes on three more signings this January.

Liverpool's English striker Danny Ings arrives for the English Premier League football match between Burnley and Liverpool at Turf Moor in Burnley, north west England on January 1, 2018.

Liverpool striker Danny Ings is one of three targets that Stoke City may try to bring in before the January transfer window closes, according to The Sentinel.

The Sentinel understands that New York City midfielder Jack Harrison, who was born in Stoke, and Galatasaray’s Badou Ndiaye are also on Paul Lambert’s shortlist.

Jack Harrison of England looks on during a England U21 Training Session at St Georges Park on October 4, 2017 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

The Potters have already signed full-backs Moritz Bauer and Konstantinos Stafylidis this month and are now focussing on reinforcements further up the pitch.

Ings would be the calibre of striker who could improve Stoke, who have been reliant on 36-year-old Peter Crouch for much of the season, with Saido Berahino out of form.

The 24-year-old still hasn’t scored for the Potters, a year after joining from West Bromwich Albion, and was left out of the squad for Saturday’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Ings has only made 15 appearances in three seasons at Liverpool because of two serious knee injuries, and the Reds may allow him to leave on loan to gain crucial game time.

In his only full Premier League campaign – with Burnley – Ings managed 11 goals, a tally which has been beaten just once by a Stoke player in the last nine seasons – 12 by Mame Biram Diouf in 2014-15.
