Stoke City are allegedly keen on signing the Burnley front-man.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Stoke City have made an enquiry for Burnley hitman Sam Vokes, and are prepared to pay around £9 million to secure the striker’s signature.
The Potters currently sit in 15th spot in the Championship table after what has been an extremely underwhelming campaign thus far, but they do sit just eight points adrift of the play-off places, and with 17 league games still to play, their hopes of promotion back to the Premier League are far from over.
Could Vokes be the man to fire Stoke back into contention for the play-offs?
The 61-capped Wales international is vastly experienced in playing Championship football, and he would surely prove to be a really useful addition for Stoke.
The 29-year-old has scored 110 career goals for club and country, and his unrivalled work ethic, combined with his robust playing style would make him perfect for the Potters.

The Daily Mail claims that Stoke would have to pay around £9 million for Vokes, and the Burnley striker could be tempted into moving to the BET 365 Stadium if he is offered the guarantee of regular first-team action.
And with just four days remaining until the transfer window slams shut, both clubs will have to get down to business sooner rather than later.
