Stoke City sacked Hughes in the aftermath of Saturday’s FA Cup defeat.

Stoke City have a deal in place to sign Rubin Kazan right-back Moritz Bauer, according to the Daily Mail.
It is claimed that a deal for Bauer was lined up by Stoke prior to Mark Hughes’ sacking as manager on Saturday, and may now be held up as the Potters search for the Welshman’s successor.

Bauer is not the first in his position to be linked with a January move to Stoke, who are being tipped to offload their veteran ex-England man Glen Johnson.
Augsburg’s Daniel Opare, Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks and Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters are among those in whom the Potters have previously been credited with interest.
Bauer, who has two caps for Austria, moved to Rubin 18 months ago from first club Grasshoppers Zurich.
He has played 16 times for the Russian side this season and is under contract there until 2021.

Former West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic, who had a spell in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow, is odds-on favourite to replace Hughes with bookmakers Sky Bet.
Would Bauer be a good signing for Stoke?
