Earlier, Mark Hughes admitted he will be focussing on bolstering his defence this summer, and it seems he is looking to exploit the European market for bargain dealings.
Nelom is a left back who plays for the Feyenoord. The defender made 17 appearances in the Eredivise last season, and helped Feyenoord win the Dutch title for the first time in 18 years.

He has also represented the Dutch national team, and has two international caps so far.
The 26-year-old is a solid at defending, with 2.3 tackles per game [whoscored.com], he displays his potential in that department. Being quite good at crossing and playing out long balls, the defender possesses an excellent passing range ability as well.
He could be a decent addition to the squad, but given his low market value, Stoke City should submit a better offer to knock Espanyol out of the race.
