The Potters are hoping to sign the 22-year-old from their Premier League rivals.

It appears that there may soon be a resolution to questions surrounding Saido Berahino’s future as the Daily Mirror reports that Stoke City have begun talks with West Brom regarding a potential move.
The Mirror claims that the 22-year-old is Mark Hughes’ number one striker target, and after receiving the biggest transfer kitty in the Potters’ history, it appears that he is ready to land his man.

Despite the forward being on the verge of entering the final year of his contract, the Mirror reports that the Baggies want between £15m and £20m for one of their brightest talents, so Hughes may have to part with a considerable chunk of his budget to make a move happen.
Should they manage to agree a deal, they will be hoping that Berahino is able to rediscover his form from the season before last where he scored 14 goals in the Premier League.

His most recent campaign saw the former England under-21 international score just four league goals, after struggling to hold down a regular spot in the starting line-up.
While Stoke have surely completed the move away from their old reputation following the arrivals of several exciting, attacking-minded stars, only one of their players hit double figures in terms of league goals this past season so they would undoubtedly be boosted by the arrival of a striker who has previously proven that he can be lethal.
