Premier League sides Stoke City and Crystal Palace are ‘set to fight it out’ for Cray Wanderers winger Brandon Scott, according to the Sun.

Stoke are said to have scouted the 20-year-old, who has already spent time on trial with Palace.

Scott was released by League One Southend United in March, but has impressed in his short time out of the Football League.

According to the Sun, Scott, who is eligible to play for Jamaica’s national team, has been likened to Everton winger Yannick Bolasie ‘because of his speed, power and technical ability’.

Like Scott, Bolasie also spent time in non-league, with Hillingdon Borough and Rushden & Diamonds, but left Palace in a £25 million deal this summer.

Scott, who started off at Charlton Athletic, was a target for Championship sides Ipswich Town and Preston North End earlier this year, as reported exclusively by HITC Sport.

According to A Bola last week, Stoke and Palace are also vying for Portuguese attacking midfielder Sergio Oliveira, who is struggling for regular game time at FC Porto.
