Sevilla will reportedly look to extend the contract of Everton and Leicester target Steven N’Zonzi.
According to the Daily Mail, Sevilla are set to open talks with midfielder Steven N’Zonzi over a new contract to ward off interest from Everton.
N’Zonzi, 27, made his name with Blackburn Rovers by serving up a number of dominant displays in midfield, where he used his huge frame and athletic ability to take over games.

The Frenchman left Rovers after their relegation in 2012 to join Stoke City, and his continued excellence with the Potters really thrust him into the limelight – and onto the radars of other clubs.
In the summer of 2015, N’Zonzi earned his big move to Sevilla, and helped the La Liga side win a third straight Europa League trophy with a 3-1 win over Liverpool in May.

N’Zonzi’s performances have triggered interest again though, as The Telegraph reported in August that Leicester City were considering a huge £25m bid to bring N’Zonzi back to the Premier League, whilst The Mirror claimed earlier this month that Everton are also keen.
Now though, the Daily Mail report that Sevilla are desperate to keep N’Zonzi, and will open talks with the French powerhouse over a new contract to keep Everton and Leicester from attempting to sign him.

With a £26m release clause allegedly in his current deal, Sevilla may look to either work the clause out of his new deal completely, or at least bump the price up to ward off other teams.
The news may mean that Everton again look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements in January, whilst Leicester will hope that Daniel Amartey or Nampalys Mendy step up to fill the gap left by N’Golo Kante.
