According to L’Equipe, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are interested in signing Haris Belkebla from Brest in the summer transfer window.

The report in the French publication has claimed that Rangers are planning to make an offer for the 26-year-old midfielder soon.

It has also been claimed that Lens are interested in the Algeria international and have collected information about him.

Stats

Belkebla has been on the books of Brest since 2018 when he joined after leaving Tours.

According to WhoScored, the midfielder made 20 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 this season.

Good signing for Rangers?

Belkebla is a very good midfielder who has had a good season on a personal level for Brest this campaign.

The 26-year-old also has international experience with Algeria, and at the right price, he would be a good signing for Rangers.

The Gers have a big season coming up, as the Ibrox club aim to stop bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row.
