According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are plotting a double raid to bring Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson and Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes to Ibrox.
It’s claimed that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has already started looking ahead to next season. Celtic are set to be crowned champions, and the Gers are considering reinforcements.
Gerrard is allegedly ‘determined’ to get work done early on improving his squad, and two targets have been picked out already to help Rangers next season.
Gerrard allegedly ‘greatly admires’ Livingston hitman Dykes, and Rangers will move to sign him. The Gers wanted the Australian in January, but couldn’t convince Livi into a deal.
The 24-year-old has hit 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 games this season. A physical, hard-working target man who has bullied Celtic on a couple of occasions this season, Dykes could come in if Alfredo Morelos moves on.
The second target is Ferguson, whose father and uncle – Derek and Barry – both played for Rangers. Ferguson himself even started out with Rangers before heading on to Hamilton Academical in 2013.

Ferguson, 20, has hit 11 goals and 17 assists in 82 games for Aberdeen, emerging as a promising box-to-box midfielder.
He has allegedly caught Gerrard’s eye in recent times, and he now wants to bring him to Ibrox. Rangers do have Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield and Joe Aribo available in midfield, but the Gers may view Ferguson as a mainstay for years to come given his age.
