Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are on the look for a new manager following Pedro Caixinha’s dismissal.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Steve Lomas is keen on the Glasgow Rangers job.

Rangers are looking for a new manager, following the departure of Pedro Caixinha last week.

Caixinha was dismissed by the Ibrox side, after what has been a poor start to the season.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is seen prior to the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers were in fourth place when Caixinha left, and Graeme Murty is currently in caretaker charge.

Rangers have been linked with a whole host of managers, since Caixinha’s departure.

And Lomas is the latest man to throw his job into the hat to take over at the Glasgow side, after asking for advice from Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill.

Lomas’ managerial career to date has seen him take charge of St. Neots, St. Johnstone and Millwall – and he has been out of work since 2013.

Despite his application, it would still be a major surprise if Rangers did pick Lomas to take charge.

At the moment Derek McInnes remains the bookies favourite to take over at Rangers.
