Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons had been offered a second chance by Steve Bruce at St. James’ Park.

Aarons has been handed a second chance at Newcastle over the summer by Bruce, and the winger did fairly well over pre-season.
The Jamaican born flyer actually caught the eye with some of his showings in Newcastle’s friendlies.
However, Bruce has reportedly decided that Aarons does not have what it takes to play a role at St. James’ Park for the upcoming campaign.
The Northern Echo suggest that Sheffield Wednesday are now keen on Aarons, who could be set to leave Newcastle before the end of today.

Newcastle have brought in Allan Saint Maximin this summer, which has pushed Aarons further down the pecking order.
It always seemed that the 23-year-old faced a difficult task to force his way back into Newcastle’s plans, but he is likely to have no shortage of suitors now.
Aarons certainly still has a sizeable amount of potential and if he can stay fit, he could be a valuable addition to a Championship side.
