Steve Bruce has put West Bromwich Albion’s Jake Livermore at the top of his Aston Villa wanted list – should the Villans win promotion this season – according to the Sun on Sunday (April 8th, Goals page 13).

Villa boss Bruce – whose side’s automatic promotion chances took another hit on Saturday – signed Livermore for Hull City four years ago.

And with West Brom heading for the drop, the report claims Villa should be able to land the England midfielder for a ‘relatively cheap’ £10 million.

Failure to reach the Premier League, however, could ruin Bruce’s hopes of a reunion, with other top flight clubs likely to show interest, according to the Sun on Sunday.

The 57-year-old has already linked up with three of his former Hull players – James Chester, Ahmed Elmohamady and Robert Snodgrass – at Aston Villa.

Chester also arrived at Villa Park via West Brom, although he is the only one not to have been signed by Bruce.

At £10 million, would Livermore be a good signing for Aston Villa?
