The chances of Valentino Lazaro starting the 2020/21 season as a Newcastle United player are looking increasingly slim with Calciomercato reporting that the Inter Milan loanee is set to bid farewell to St James’ Park sooner rather than later.

Lazaro only joined Newcastle in January, arriving on loan with an option-to-buy for £18 million.

With everything up in the air right now, Calciomercato suggests that there is ‘no optimism’ for a permanent move to England, with a return to Italy the most likely eventuality.
