Aston Villa have failed to win promotion to the Premier League.

Aston Villa fans must have been fearing the worst about Steve Bruce, with the Villans failing to get promoted from the Premier League and Championship rivals Leeds United (reportedly) showing interest in him.
Failure to get promoted from the Championship means that Villa now have to deal with FFP issues, while The Telegraph reported earlier this month that Leeds had made an approach for Bruce following the departure of Paul Heckingbottom.

Bruce is one of the best managers in England and has a lot of experience in getting clubs back to the Premier League.
For Villa to progress as a club and to win promotion to the top flight of English football, they need to keep hold of the 57-year-old, and it seems that they have been able to do just that.

Coup for Aston Villa
According to The Telegraph, Villa are under pressure to raise £50 million in player sales over the next two transfer windows, but Bruce is keen to stay on.
It has been reported that Villa manager Bruce and technical director Steve Round want to stay at Villa Park and rebuild for next season.
If Villa are able to retain Bruce for next season, then it would be the signing of the summer for the Villans and would be a coup, as he is a master in building and rebuilding teams in the Championship and is a very savvy in the transfer market.
