Leeds United are said to be contemplating making a move for Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce.

Bruce reportedly realises that Villa’s squad is about to be dismantled, due to their financial problems, and is tempted to leave without compensation.

Leeds are believed to be considering Bruce, and the Express suggest that the 57-year-old could take the job at Elland Road.
Leeds have been heavily linked with Marcelo Bielsa since Paul Heckingbottom was sacked, but getting a deal over the line for the Argentine is proving complicated.

If Bruce does leave Villa he will immediately become a more appealing option, as Leeds would no longer have to pay compensation for the experienced boss.
And it seems that Bruce’s time at Villa could be coming to an end any time soon, with a mass exodus expected at Villa Park over the coming weeks.
Leeds finished in a disappointing mid-table spot last term, but have parted company with Paul Heckingbottom, and are believed to be willing to hand their new boss money to spend to improve the squad at Elland Road this summer.
