Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen is set to join Fulham.
Celtic’s Stefan Johansen looks dejected
According to the Daily Mail, Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen was completing a medical with Championship side Fulham on Thursday evening.
Johansen, 25, joined Celtic from Stromsgodset in January 2014, and after flashing some ability under Neil Lennon, he was quickly reunited with his former Stromsgodset boss Ronny Deila at Celtic Park.

With 13 goals goals in his first full season with Celtic, Johansen was a key player for the Bhoys, and was even tipped to become the next player to make the move to England, following the likes of Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk.
However, the Norwegian international struggled last season, as he had a number of injury problems, and when he did play, he displayed a complete lack of confidence and didn’t get forward with anywhere near as much success.
Fulham’s Craven Cottage
After just four goals in 39 games for the Bhoys last season, Johansen’s future has been brought into question this summer – and the Daily Mail report that he’s set to leave Glasgow in order to join Fulham having undergone a medical with the West London club on Thursday.
It’s claimed that Johansen had rejected a new contract with Celtic in April, and with just one year left on his deal, Celtic have decided to cash in and sell Johansen to Fulham for just £2m.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has strengthened his squad heavily already this summer, and Johansen will now compete with Scots Kevin McDonald and Tom Cairney for a place in midfield, as well as veteran Scott Parker.
With a medical completed, Johansen’s exit should be confirmed in the coming days, potentially freeing up some room for Brendan Rodgers to bring in a midfielder of his own, as the report adds that the Bhoys manager is keen to sign a replacement for Johansen in midfield, with Everton’s James McCarthy a target in a loan deal.
