West Ham United may abandon their interest in Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United have reservations about Callum Wilson’s injury history – and that could prevent them from a big move for the Bournemouth striker.

The Hammers lost 2-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, with Wilson scoring the opening goal of the game, smashing a superb strike into the top corner.

The goal came after days of speculation linking Wilson with a move to West Ham, so of course he scored against Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Now though, the Daily Mail claim that West Ham have ‘reservations’ about a move for Wilson, as his injury history is putting them off a big-money move.

Wilson has suffered two torn anterior cruciate ligament injuries in the past, recently spent time on the sidelines and was even substituted with an injury on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has been in superb form this season though, notching 10 goals and five assists in 21 Premier Leagues, whilst even scoring on his England debut against the United States.

Wilson has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham, with suggested fees ranging anywhere between £45million and £75million for the Bournemouth star.

It’s understandable that West Ham may not be willing to pay that fee, and they may not even need a big-money striker this month anyway if Marko Arnautovic’s move to China doesn’t go through.
