According to the Daily Mail, a number of Tottenham Hotspur youngsters have postponed their holidays in order to aid Mauricio Pochettino.

The Premier League season has been done with for 10 days now, but Spurs still have plenty to work towards, having made it to the Champions League final.

They take on Liverpool at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium a week on Saturday, meaning that whilst players around England are off on summer holidays, Spurs players are busy working hard.

The Daily Mail now report that some of Tottenham’s youth prospects have delayed their holidays in order to be available for training with Pochettino.

It’s stated that Pochettino has put players on tailored training plans, which includes gym work, and for that reason – and in case of injury – Spurs youngsters have stayed behind to give Pochettino options on training pitch.

It’s an unexpected decision from those young players, and whilst they surely won’t break into the Spurs squad for the Champions League final, they’ll at least give themselves more opportunities to impress Pochettino.

He has shown that he will play young players where possible, and showing commitment to help Spurs even with their seasons over may just present them with opportunities in pre-season having made an admirable decision.
