Erik Lamela is reported to be closing on a Tottenham Hotspur return

Erik Lamela’s injury recovery is on track and the winger could soon be ready to make his return.
The report states: “Tottenham host Bournemouth on October 14 at Wembley, following the World Cup Qualifiers, and welcome Liverpool to their temporary home eight days later with a Champions League trip to Real Madrid in between.
“Lamela may return to the matchday squad on any of those dates.”

These games are all after the upcoming international break, in which Lamela will likely be put through intense sessions to prove his fitness.
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino demands a high intensity from his players and Lamela will be working hard to get up to speed.

It may be ideal if Spurs can get Lamela involved from the bench against Bournemouth before the two bigger fixtures, but at this stage there is no need for the club to rush him.
Lamela has not played since suffering his hip injury last October and if he can get back to his best then he will be a huge addition for this exciting Tottenham Hotspur team.
